Danny Calico

Born in Brooklyn New York, Danny started his career singing in school choirs and choruses.  He started playing drums at the age of 5, and his first gigs were high school and church dances, as he played and sang with notable peers who also had great careers. 

After a stint in the Navy, Danny joined his friends in a New York local band called “The Jesters” and a show biz path had begun.  The Jesters traveled across the nation and played the hottest night clubs in New York and Las Vegas.  In the mid 70’s, Danny joined his ‘Jester’ partner Corky DiFini in Las Vegas and became one of the fabulous ‘Novelites’ with Frankie Carr.  Both guys had a great education in show biz with Frankie, and later set out to form the vocal group ‘Chazz’.  Danny and the group opened for such amazing acts like Norm Crosby and Bill Cosby, Jackie Mason, Bob Hope and along with Corky did a stint with the ‘Village People’ at the House of Blues in Las Vegas.  Speaking of Vegas, Danny has played just about every major lounge and some showrooms on the Las Vegas Strip.  Now together again with DiFini, Calico, Russine Zellner, and Dolly Coulter have once again created the ‘Chazz’ sound.
